Before the world wars Budapest was known as the city of cafés. There were hundreds of these lavish coffeehouses filled with artists, poets, and writers. They would come for hours to dream up new ideas while getting their caffeine fix. New York Café managed to escape the destruction of war, celebrating 120 years of business in 2014.
Here I discovered the latte macchiato. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.
